Sadie Hawkins

Our Stake held a Valentine Sadie Hawkins dance!! I asked this guy named Joe McCaul. He is so cute!! He said YES!! I was so excited. We had not been on a date for a long time so I was so psyched to go!!

We first went to dinner with another couple. Jason and Katie!! They are always so much fun to hang out with. We went to a Steak house but we all disliked our experience. The food was not good. It was also pricey. At least we had a lot of laughs!!

After dinner we met 2 more couples. Parris and Shannon and Kelly and Charle. We decided to all go to the dance together. Since it was a Sadie Hawkins dance we all wore matching shirts!!


The dance was a blast. Of course we were all awesome dancers (except for a little fall)!! We did the chicken dance and the bunny hop!! We also did such a great job with the country swinging and the 80's rockin moves. I also loved the slow dances!!! Joe was hot!! (really he was sweating, in fact we all were). It was such a fun night to just let loose and enjoy ourselves.


We ended the night playing Rock Band. I wish I could play the drums like Jason!! Maybe someday I will learn. Overall it was a great date. I can't wait to go out with Joe again. I also hope we have more group dates. I loved the people we went to the dance with!! Thanks guys for a great, totally radical night!!

Potty Training!!

Avery has been working on potty training for a little while now!! She has been doing really great. She sometimes forgets until it's too late and going number 2 is still a problem but overall she has done a great job. It has been pretty easy!! Every time she goes, she gets 5 M&M's which she loves!!


Today she wanted to wear just underwear. No pull-ups. So far no accidents!! It is always so much fun to watch a child accomplish something new. Hopefully we can keep this up and it will be only underwear from now on!!


Avery is such a sweet little girl. She has a tender heart but she knows exactly what she wants. When she puts her mind to it she can accomplish anything!! Good job Avery!!

My little baby Audrey!!

Okay so my little Audrey isn't so little anymore but I am sure she will forever be my baby. I have been wanting to put some videos of her amazing new tricks but blogger hasn't worked for me so instead of videos I will just post some pictures and tell you what she is up to!

Audrey is almost 9 months old. I can't even believe it. She has begun crawling and pulling herself up onto everything she can. Right now she loves pulling herself up to the bottom stair. It is fine right now but once she starts heading up I am going to be in trouble.

She also makes a really funny face when she eats something that I guess has a strong taste. I have this on video. After every bite she takes, she make a funny face and blinks her eyes tight. It is really funny and it makes us all laugh!

She has also learned how to make the little clicking noise with her tongue. She copied Joe and I one morning and now it is her way to communicate. She does it all the time. If she wakes up in the night and wants me to play with her she starts clicking her tongue. I have to say , " No Audrey, bedtime." Then she will go back to sleep. I can't wait for you all to see it!!

She is also 17 1/2 pounds!! What a big girl!! I love all her rolls and her big huge head. She is starting to grow some hair.

We all love her so much. She is such a fun baby!! Everyone always wants to be the one holding Audrey, (until I ask them too!!) We are truly enjoying having Audrey in our family!!

High School Tag

High School Tag!!

Joe and I were looking through our old year books. This tag came at a perfect time. We had fun remembering our fun times at Manti High School!!

1. Did you date someone in high school? Yes, I started dating Joe when we were Juniors. We started liking each other at Youth Conference!!
2. What kind of car did you drive? I drove what ever my mom had. Right after I graduated I got a Mustang convertible. It was very practical (NOT)
3. Did you pass your driver's license test the first time? Yes
4. Were you a party animal? I liked having fun but it was always in the good way!! High school sporting games, school dances, and of course dragging main!
5. Were you considered a flirt? Probably. I liked hanging out with cute guys!!
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? I was in band my freshman year. I also did choir for fun.
7. Were you a nerd? I'm too cool to be a nerd!
8. Were you on any varsity teams? I was on the cheerleading squad.

9. Did you ever get suspended or expelled? No!! I was a good girl!
11. Who were your favorite teachers? I loved Mr. Wheeler and Mr. Good.
12. Where did you sit at lunch? I ate at the Bright Spot a lot. When I had to spend my own money I started eating at school!!

15. Did you go to homecoming and who with? Yes I went with Joe
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Yes, I think I would. I loved the fun times I had with my friends. I would also like to go back a do a few things differently.
17. What do you remember most about graduation? I loved hanging out with my friends all night. I loved when we went on Senior trip to Disneyland!
18. Where did you go on Senior Skip Day? I think we did Lagoon but I am not sure. I also remember hanging out at Palisade Lake all day too! I am not sure which one was Senior skip day.
19. Were you in any clubs? No
20. Have you gained weight since then? Heck Ya!!
21. Who was your prom date? Joe of course!
22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Well I already passed it!! I guess I am old. I did go and it was fun. I can't wait for the next one.
23. Did you have a job while in high school? Yes I worked at a place called China Gate.
24. Worst class? English.
25.Favorite class Dance/Ceramics? I didn't have either one. I liked my cheerleading class and I also like science classes!!

School Programs

This winter the kids have had school programs. Kennady participated in a Christmas Sing-a-long. Each class came in a sang a Christmas song. Here she is with her class. She sang "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas". I tried to download videos but they wouldn't work!!






Sydney participated in the Kindergarten Winter Program. She sang lots of songs, recited poems, said a little part, and she also made a cute poster that hung on the wall!!

Kennady and Sydney both did such a great job. They are so cute and I love them both so much. I loved watching them.
The girls go to such a wonderful school. I love it!! They have the most amazing teachers that care so much that they are learning. I am often amazed by how much they learn!!

PARTY!!!!

We had a Rock'n New Years Eve party this year!! We also had a Super bowl party this past weekend too! It has been so much fun to have everyone over for parties!! I love it. We always have such yummy food and so much fun together.

We played a lot of games. The Wii was a big hit. We loved singing along to American Idol. I was surprised how well most everyone could sing!!



My favorite part of the night was the yummy food. I think my favorite was an apple dip and bumpy brownies. Kelley made a lot of new yummy things we had never tried before. Everyone brought such fun things to share!!

The kids spent a lot of their time playing games downstairs. I think they had a great time hanging out together. They were also able to watch Kung Fo Panda.

When everyone gets together for that long we tend to get a little silly. Parris and Jason are no exception and in fact they usually are the funniest. Well here they are trying to share with each other!!


Katie and Shannon tried to share with each other too, but Joe decided he wanted in.


We had a fun night!! We also had a great superbowl party. I didn't take any pictures that night but it looked a lot like New Years Eve. We had the pleasure of having the Pitcher's, Joe's mom and Gene, Julie and Brandon, and Joe's friend Eric. Thanks to all of you who came!! We love having parties and we hope to have many more!!
