Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum

On Friday the girls only had a 1/2 day of school so we decided to meet our friends at the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum. It was one of the best times we have had there. The kids really got into all the activities!

We first met at JCW's!! It's a great place to eat. We had a lot of fun there. It was a long wait but the kids didn't seem to mind. They took turns holding Audrey and just catching up with each other.


Sydney thought this picture was so cute of her playing footsie with Audrey.

We then went to the Museum. They all like the huge dinosaur bones. Even Avery did okay with them. Kennady even touched them and went under the big dinosaur. She is usually too scared to do that!!







They then spent 30-45 minutes playing in the sand/water table. They really enjoyed creating many things. At first they each did their own thing.






Then slowly Kennady, Sydney, and Madison began working on together making a big lake.



Avery of course wasn't too sure about the sand. She played a little bit but then just sat and watched the kids play. I don't think she liked her hands so dirty!!


Zach and Avery got a little bored while the girls worked in the sand so they went exploring. They thought it was so fun that they found a window where they could look down on us. It was cute.


After the sand we all went to the place where you can create a dinosaur. They all worked together to make a scary dino!!



Then we came to the huge shark. It is the first time I could get Kennady anywhere near it!! Avery didn't want to get close enough for a picture but they did really great this time! We didn't have any tears!!!


And finally we ended with digging for bones. Again the kids really stayed focus and played forever!! It was such a fun day!! My children even thanked my for the great day!!

SYTYCD

I had the best night last night!!! I went to the So You Think You Can Dance Tour!! It was awesome. I really love the show but seeing the dances live and up close was an entire different experience. I was really amazed at how much I liked it. I loved being so close that I really felt apart of the dances. It was also crazy that some of the dances I didn't like so much on TV I really liked in real life. In fact I think I liked all the dances they did last night.

I went with my sisters, Kelsi and Erica and their 2 friends Leslie and Allie and with my sister-in-law Katie. We had a blast!!!!



We first went to Red Robin for dinner. Thanks to Kelsi we all wore matching shirts. For those who watch the show you will know what the shirt says. It is a picture of a train and above it, it says Hot Tamale. We must of looked like a crazy group because they seated us in our own little room. It was kind of nice. We could talk and be silly and no one was around to bother!!

We then headed over to the E center. Thanks again to Kelsi we got Upgraded parking. So we were able to park really close which made the ride home much easier!!

We had great seats. I felt close enough to really be in the action!! They did some of the best dances of the season, aired some clips from the season, and had a little fun with the audience too.



My favorite dance this year was called Bleeding Love. It was even better to see it live!!!

Overall it was one of the best things I have done. I hope to make this a yearly tradition!!

Kennady's New Room

Well we have been changing up the rooms at our house. A few weekends ago we decided it was finally time to move Avery into a bed. This meant I could move Avery into the bedroom with Sydney and Kennady could have her own room. Her birthday is coming up so we decided that for most of her birthday present, she could have a new cute room. She picked out her own bedding and the colors she wanted. We had a lady who lives close by come over and help us design her room. She made the accessories for us and her husband made the furniture. It has been such a fun thing to do and it is almost complete. I still need to put together some furniture I bought from IKEA and then we will be done. But here are some pictures of what it looks like so far. Kennady is loving it and Sydney and Avery seems to be enjoying the fact that they are roommates now!!

Grandma Denise's Birthday!!

Well this post is a week late but......... Happy Birthday MOM!!!


On Sept. 15 my mother Denise had her birthday!! It was a fun night. We went to dinner at the local pizza place then we headed back to our house for cake. It was really yummy cake. We sang, ate cake, and had grandma get her birthday present which didn't require any opening because she really just needed some money to go clothes shopping. She has lost a lot of weight this year so she needs some new fall clothes!!


She is a great mom and a great grandma. I am so glad that she is a part of our family. She is always willing to help me out with watching all my girls, going shopping for me, or just about anything. I really appreciate all that she does. She makes my girls laugh with the stories she tells them and they are always glad to see grandma. I hope you had a great day mom and I hope you enjoy this next year too!! Thanks for being such a great mom!!!

Audrey is 4 months old

My sweet little baby turned 4 months old today. The time as flown by. She is a little chunk. She is our biggest baby!! She is a happy healthy girl. I love her so much. She is getting really giggly. Audrey is always smiling. I love her spirit. She is growing too quickly but it is so much fun to watch her learn to do new things. I just love babies and she has been such a joy and a blessing to our home!!

12 Years and Counting!!

Sept. 13th!! That is the day Joe and I were married in the Manti Temple. It has been 12 years since that day. I went through some pictures from that day and I thought I would share them!!


This is our wedding announcement. My mom framed it for us. Our wedding colors were dark green and orange/peach.


We were married in the Manti Temple.


The day stared out beautiful but the rain started coming in. By that night it was raining really hard. Joe's family had decorated our car and decided it would be fun to throw flour on it. Well take flour and rain and a car and what do you get.... a huge sticky mess!! Chad helped us clean it up when we got back from our honeymoon!!
We had so many of our family and friends with us that day. It is fun to see how everyone has changed.



We had our luncheon and reception at the Ephraim Social Hall. Katherine Crouch helped us with our reception. It was really nice. It looked so beautiful that night!

As I have been reflecting on that day my thoughts turned to the people who were there that night but are no longer living now. I truly miss them. Life goes by too quickly.

I also thought about how lucky I am to have such an amazing family. My mom and dad are always there for me and I have also been lucky enough to have step parents that have been more like real parents!! My brothers and sisters are also so much fun!!

I am also so glad that on this day 12 years ago I became part of Joe's family. They are so caring and so fun to be around. I love each of them. I could not ask for a better family to join.

Of course I also took some time today to think about my eternal companion Joe!! I am so glad that I was lucky enough to snag such a great person. He is amazing. He has such strength and resolve. He has dedication and determination. I am so lucky that he is such a hard worker too. He has accomplished so much in his profession and in our own home. When he sets his mind to something he always accomplishes it. He is very loyal. He has been my best friend for almost as long as I can remember. He helps me to recognize my strengths. He is always reminding me to look at the positive. He is also a great dad. From being silly with the girls to being able to bless them whenever they ask. I am so grateful that each of my girls have a personal relationship with their dad. They probably each think that they are their dads' best friend. I am grateful that Joe loves the Lord. He has been able to teach the girls many things about the gospel and I know that they look up to him and watch him serve and they are learning a lot from his example. I am so lucky that I was able to be sealed to Joe 12 years ago! I have loved our journey together so far and I can't wait to see what is ahead. We have been through so much together. He has always been there for me!! I guess that is what marriage is about!!
