Audrey

Audrey McCaul- 2 Months old

Audrey is getting so big so fast. Today she started laughing. I was playing with her earlier in the day and she laughed. So when Joe got home he wanted to get her to laugh too. She was doing really good so I decided to get the camera. Of course the second it's rolling the action stops. This is the best video we could get. She was laughing a lot harder earlier but she is still adorable in this clip. She is such a sweet baby!! I love her so much!!

A Surprise Day!

I woke up Wed. morning at 8:30 a.m. on my own. No alarms, no children bugging me, and best of all, Joe was not up getting ready for work. I couldn't believe it. My children were sleeping in and Joe was still sleeping next to me. We all then slowly woke up. I fed Audrey while Joe went downstairs to make the girls breakfast. He just kept hanging around. He was working on the computer around 10:00 am when I got a text. I ran over to my phone to see who the text was from. It was from Joe. He said, "Get ready! Let's go to Park City for the day". I was excited. Joe has not taken a day off for fun in a long time. So I jumped at the chance to spend the day with him and the girls. We hopped in the car and headed to Park City for a little fun!!

First we went to a ski resort that has the Alpine Slide and other things. We ate lunch at a little deli and we ate outside on picnic tables. It was good food and the kids had fun climbing around on the rocks.

We then decided to have some fun. We took turn riding on the Coaster. Joe first took Sydney. They loved it. Sydney kept saying that she was scared that they would just fall off and crash.

Then Kennady and I went on the Coaster together. While we were going up Kennady just told me to be brave and to go fast the entire time. So I did and I was scared the entire time!! It goes really fast but it is so fun. I am so glad that our girls like to do things like that. Avery was too little to go this time.

Avery was really good at waiting and watching. She enjoyed looking at the rides, rocks, and flowers. She was a good sport!!

She likes watching her sisters!!

Next the big girls went on the big trampoline. They got strapped into a harness and then jump and flip. I could not believe how high they would go. It looked like so much fun and the girls really enjoyed it!!

Joe spent some time sitting in the shade with Audrey. They looked like they were having a nice time together.

Next it was Avery's turn. She went with Joe on the Alpine Slide. She first rode the tram up the mountain. Joe said that she seemed to like it. She also did great on the slide. Joe went really fast and it didn't scare her. When she came down she seemed to love it. She kept saying she went on a big slide.

While I was trying to get a picture of Avery on the slide, Kennady was holding Audrey. Audrey even fell asleep on her lap. Kennady is such a helpful big sister.

After a long hot day of fun we decided to cool off with a shaved ice. It was really nice and cool!

We then went over the the outlets for a little shopping but it didn't last long. We then went home! It was such a fun day!! I am so glad that Joe was able to take the day off even when he is so busy at work. We really appreciate all that he does for us. He is a great dad!! I am also so thankful for my girls. They were really fun and were such good sports. They didn't whine or complain. They were just a lot of fun!! Even Avery who looks really mad in this picture was fun!

Memory TAG

I was memory tagged by my sister Erica. You are to write a memory you have of me and you. It can be anything from years ago to yesterday!! Once you post a memory I will assume you are playing the game and I will leave a memory message for you on your blog. Thanks for playing!!

Kennady's teeth!!

Well we had an eventful weekend. It really began 4 weeks ago when we went to the orthodontist because Kennady's teeth were coming in crooked and the rest of her teeth were not coming in at all. This was a picture of the x-ray....

So, too many teeth in such a small mouth. The orthodontist decided the best thing to do is to removed some baby teeth to make room for the big teeth and then we will have to remove 4 big teeth to have enough room for the rest of the teeth. So in the end she will have 4 less teeth then the rest of us!!

So to begin the process we had to go up to Grandpa Daniel's office. He is a dentist!!! Which is really lucky because I am not sure Kennady would have let anyone else take out her teeth. Also my sister Erica was his assistant so it made Kennady really comfortable.

Grandpa did great on the shots. Kennady said she did not even feel them. She even got to watch a movie. She has on the little ear phones to listen and the movie was up above her head.
She became and very numb!!!

Here is the last picture taken of her with her cute baby teeth. It has been really hard for me to think that she will never have her baby teeth again. My baby is growing up.

Then the work began. Grandpa took 6 teeth out the first day and 4 teeth out the second day. So 10 teeth were removed.

It is crazy. They came out well and she really didn't even lose her control or anything. She was really brave and I am so proud of her.

She has been a little sore and it is a little hard to eat but overall she is doing well. We are very anxious for her teeth to grow back but for now she just says she looks like a witch. I think she is beautiful and will soon have her nice teeth back (even better!!)

Thanks Grandpa and Erica for taking such great care of Kennady. You both made a crazy and a little scary situation much better!!

The Bean Museum

Our neighborhood when on another field trip. This time we went to the Bean Museum. It is on the BYU campus. We had a lot of people come with us this time. Our friends the Boydens rode up with us. That morning Zack told his dad that we were going to a museum to see beans. I thought that was really funny. But instead of beans it is a museum of stuffed animals. Not cute cuddly kinds but really life animals all stuffed up. Kennady has always been deathly afraid of this place so last year we didn't even attempt this field trip but we thought we would give it another try!! We actually had a nice time and Kennady did better. She was still very whimpy but at least she didn't cry!!

Here is a picture of the group....
There was our family, the Boydens, Katie and Reddek and Collyn, Katie's sister Rachelle and Jade, The James family, and a little while later the Goodrich family showed up too. It was a fun group!!

Here is a picture of Kennady in the position she stayed in most of the day. She would not let Andrea go. Even Andrea's daughter Madison asked if she could have her mom back because Kennady was keeping her all to herself. Thanks Andrea for putting up with Kennady's fears.

Here are the brave kids by the big bear!! Kennady and Avery wouldn't even get close!! Zack seemed to really like this place. He was very curious and loved to show us all the animals that he thought were cool!

Here is a picture of the cousins!!

What crazy kids!!! There were so many kinds of animals. There was even one called a dik dik. Sydney asked me what the animal was called so I told her it was a dik dik. I then heard her say, "Oh what a cute little dik, dik." It really was a cute little animal!!

This is a crazy picture. It was Zack's idea to take this picture. He thought it was a nice picture spot. He was right!!

And last here is a picture of Kennady. The one place I could get her to stand and take a picture. It is a butterfly made of little butterflys. It is really cool.

I decided the Bean Museum was great this year!! I think we will go back again. After the Museum we all went the the BYU creamery for ice cream. It was YUMMY!!

Webkinz

Joe had a business trip last week and he brought home each of the girls a Webkinz. They love them so much. I never knew what they were but the girls have had fun playing with them!!

Kennady's is an elephant named Allbert.
Sydney's is a Koala Bear names Kassy.

Avery's is a Kangaroo named Hopper.
The girls do not like it when Joe is gone but they sure don't mind the surprises he brings home with him!!

Summer Days

Our Summer Day!!

We had an amazing summer day today. It really began last night. Katie came over to help me put the girls to bed because Joe is out of town. It was so nice. They were all in bed by 9:30 without a tear shed from them or me (thanks Katie for the help). So with Audrey in bed I got a few things done then headed to bed only to wake up this morning at 7:00 am without a peep from Audrey last night. It was wonderful!! The rest of the girls slept in until 8:00 am so we had a great morning.
Then our friend the Bartholomew's invited us over to spend the day outside playing on their new swimming slide. Now this is not just an ordinary slip-n-slide that I grew up with. This is a monster slide. My girls had such a great time. Avery was of course nervous but she had fun too. Thanks Rachelle for inviting us over. We had such a fun day!!

Our Friends McKay and Kye!! Kye didn't want his picture taken so he is hiding.

The huge slide!!

It's so much fun getting wet!! The kids would not stop playing. It was such a blast!!!

This is Avery having fun. She began with the swings......

Then she ate some of the yummy watermellon and grapes.....

Then she tried to sit in the pool.........

Then she began a water fight. She had so much fun trying to get the kids wet.......

But watch out!! When the kids tried to get her she would run as fast as she could to get away...

It was so much fun watching them playing and having a blast!!!!!

And of course Audrey was there, sleeping through it all.........

Thanks Bartholomews for a great summer day!!!!
