It is finally here.... Kennady got her ears pierced!!! We took her to the mall on Monday. She was so excited until she was sitting on the chair, then her excitement turned to fear and tears!! But in the end she survived and she has the new crystal earrings to prove it! She has been waiting a while for this day and she is so happy that her ears are finally pierced!! She is so excited because now she will be able to wear her new pearl earring on her baptism day.

2nd Beginnings!!
Well Kennady had her 2nd first day of 2nd grade!! She was given the opportunity to attend the same school that Sydney does. It is called The Ranches Academy. Kennady decided that she wanted to try this school so on Tuesday she had her first day!! Joe took her in the morning. He said she did a great job and she seemed really excited about it! When she came home she had a huge smile on her face! She loved it! They have her doing really hard math and she likes the challenge!
We all love that Kennady and Sydney are together! They had to match too! They even saw each other in the hall yesterday! I love my girls and I hope that this will be a great school year!

Sleeping Under the Stars
On Friday night, Joe came home and told the girls that they were going to sleep outside. They were very excited!! The got the futon mattress and the small DVD player and headed outside for a fun night. This year Avery was invited to come too. She did great. Audrey and I stayed inside.
Outside it was beautiful. The sky was clear and the temperature was perfect. The girls did say that they got a little cold by morning. They woke up and we had a yummy breakfast of blueberry waffles, bacon, eggs, and juice. We ate it outside too. It was a fun family activity!! I appreciate Joe for being such a fun dad!!
They are all asleep.... really........ okay they are all pretending to be asleep!
We had a little fun taking pictures in the dark. The flash would blind our eyes!!

But the rooms are done and they were able to start school in their classrooms!! Her teacher this year is Mrs. Weaver and her principal is Principal Tillman.
She gets to ride the bus t school. She loves that!!
She had a great day! She loves her new teacher and has a couple friends in her class. I know she will soon have many friends.
Sydney- Kindergarten!!
Sydney started Kindergarten today! She is in the afternoon class but she was ready to go by 7:30 am! It was a long morning waiting for the big day. She was so excited!
She attends the Charter school called Ranches Academy. It is a really good school with an excellent Kindergarten teacher.
Her teacher this year is Mrs. Brown. She already loves her!! Sydney also thinks her teacher is cute.
She gets to go to school with many of her friends. Here is a picture of Daniel James, Cassidy Goodwin, and Lewis Bascom.
Sydney and Lewis talking about what is going on around them. It was really cute to see how excited and a little nervous they all were.
Off to class!! I can't believe my little baby Sydney is going to school. She has grown so fast!!
They both did such a great job!! Look at their happy faces at the end of the day!!

LAGOON
Our Last Summer Adventure!!!
On Sat Aug. 16th our family went to Lagoon! It was planned by Katie!! It was also her birthday on that day!! She did a great job putting it all together. Thanks Katie and Happy Birthday too!! You did an amazing job and I really appreciate you for taking the time to get us tickets and reserving a spot!! You are awesome.
We had such a great time. The weather was perfect. It was really packed and it was kind of crazy to be with such a big group. We had a meeting spot but we all kind of went our own ways. We were in the slow moving, lots of kids and nursing baby group but it was a fun day anyway.
Some of my highlights of the day were.....
* Avery going on a ride all by herself right at the beginning!! She experienced many new things that day and she was brave and did a great job!! It was fun to experience Lagoon through her eyes!!
* Sydney loving the Tidal Wave!! We had lots of fun going on this together!!
* Kennady going on the ride WICKED!! She did great. It is a scary ride but she went and I was so proud of her. She actually liked it in the end and I think she will go on it again!!
* Watching all my children having fun with their friends and cousins. It was so much fun!! It was a great day. They made a lot of memories. They went on a lot of rides and totally enjoyed their time at Lagoon!!
* Eating lunch at my favorite spot in Lagoon. I love the BBQ lunch and yummy corn on the cob! Also Tammy brought everyone a birthday treat. It was a yummy rice Krispi Treat! Thanks!!
* Seeing all of Joe's family that came- Tammy, Chad, Amber, Jesse, Kayson, Kori, Kenny, Jordin, Jake, Jessica, Jamie, Liz, Cody, Kallie, Ryland, Morgan, Parris, Shannon, Collyn, Jason, Katie, Reddek, and our friend the Boyden's came along with her brother too!! It was fun.I didn't get any group pictures. Everyone was on the move too quickly to catch!! But here is Liz and Cody in the background!
* Remember old times there and sharing some of my Lagoon memories with my daughters. It was fun to tell them about my experiences of when I went to Lagoon as a child.
* Having Audrey in our family. She was so good!! It is so nice to have her with us!!
* Ending summer with a fun and very busy day. It was a great way to say good-bye to the freedom that summer time brings.

Family Picnic
We went up to American Fork canyon last weekend for a family picnic. We has such a great time. We had decided to first stop off at KFC for some lunch then off we went.
When we got there we started to eat. It wasn't too long before we realized that we were not the only ones hungry. Several bees decided they wanted to be a part of our picnic too. For those who know me, you know that I am VERY afraid of bees and unfortunately my children have inherited that from me too!!! So we were crazy trying to get rid of the bees. We tried moving some chicken away from us but that just wasn't good enough. So we ended up eating on the run. It wasn't the best but it worked.
After all the eating was finished we decided to go on a hike. I was a little nervous taking Audrey but we ended up having a great time. She seemed to enjoy being outside.
Avery loved hiking and she wanted to walk and do it herself. She did great!!
As we were walking Kennady bend down to look at a sea shell. But she wasn't ready for the snail to pop out. She let out a huge scream that scared me as well as all the animals.
We made it to some really huge rocks. They were fun to climb on and it was a fun place to sit and relax and look around. The mountains are always such a beautiful place. I am always so amazed at our world.
There was even a time that Kennady and Sydney went off hiking up a hill all by themselves. It was really fun to see them accomplish this. They wanted to try going up the rocks and they did great!
After our hike we played next to the stream. The girls had a lot of fun throwing rocks into the water. Sydney even skipped a rock twice. She thought she was amazing.
It was a really nice Saturday afternoon. It was a great family adventure!!
