Our Easter Saturday!!

We had a busy weekend so I will have to separate the post by days!!

Saturday
We began the day by heading over to our local city park. They have an Easter Egg hunt for the kids.

We went with Reddek this year. That made it a little funner for Avery. I had to take Kennady and Sydney over to their section so I wasn't able to watch Avery and Reddek but it sounds like they had no idea what to do so the dads had to pick up some eggs for them. They at least thought it was great!

This egg hunt isn't the best. It is just a huge field with eggs and once the horn blows the hunt is over in about 30 sec. It isn't really great for little kids but Kennady and Sydney are starting to understand that they need to run as fast as they can and pick up as many as they can.

This year it was chilly but at least it didn't start raining until we were finished.

And of course Audrey just stayed all snuggled in her blankets.

We then decided this year to do some fun Easter activities as everyone's house. We started at Jason and Katie's house. We decorated cookies and made nests out of Rice Krispi treats. They were delicious. The dads started playing music and the kids sang songs too. Thanks Katie for wonderful delicious cookies. They are always a favorite!!

We then went over the Parris and Shannons for a pinata. I think kids LOVE pinatas. It is always really fun to hit something especially when you don't get in trouble for doing it. Sorry the pictures are blurry. The kids were always moving so fast I wasn't able to get good shots. But in the end Shannon had made a goodie bag for each of the kids. It was full of girly things that my girls loved. Thanks Shannon for taking the time to make such fun bags.

After the pinata we went over to our house for another Easter egg hunt. It was sad that it was raining because we really wanted to do it outside but in the end we just did it in the basement. Avery wasn't feeling well and Audrey needed a nap so I wasn't able to get any pictures but it was fun!! I hope that this can be a tradition for years to come. After the activities we went out for pizza!! Yummy!!

Later that afternoon my sister Kelsi came to stay with us for the night. It was great. She brought gifts for Avery and Sydney from Grandpa Daniel and Grandma Traci. They loved their gifts.

Kelsi gave Sydney a super fun Wii game called Wii Cheer. You have to follow the cheerleading moves!!! We played for hours. I was the big winner in the end. I won the cheer off. It was a lot of fun.

We ended the night by decorating eggs.

It was really fun having Kelsi here to decorate. This year it was great because the 3 bigger girls were able to decorate their own eggs without tons of help!! They each made some amazing eggs.

Avery loves the Q-tips markers. They are excellent for her.

Kelsi made and egg of all the McCaul girls. It was cute.

Dad made an egg by gluing sprinkles all over it. It didn't work out so great. I tried rubber bands but it didn't work out so great either. Sydney died her hair green and Kennady spilled the entire cup of blue color but we survived the event!!

I think in the end the solid color eggs were the prettiest!!

What a fun day we had!! It is so nice to have family close by and we are always so glad that Kelsi comes to visit us. It is fun to have her here!! Easter Sat. was great!!
