Spontaneous

I am not a spontaneous person at all. I like to make a plan for everything I do. I like knowing in advance what the plan is but last week I decided to try to be spontaneous and it worked!!

Joe called us from California and told us that he had to stay and work another week. So he suggested that we get on a plane and come down there to hang with him. I was so excited to go. I was even more excited to tell my girls. They couldn't believe it. They were so happy to see and and to have fun in the sun.
I knew it would be hard on the plane but my mom wanted to get away too so we were off. I made plane reservations about 10 pm on Thursday and we left for the airport on Friday at 1:00!!

We stayed at a great Hotel!! We loved wearing our spring clothes again!!

I was a blast. I think my favorite part, beside seeing Joe, was the weather. It was great, warm, 85 degree weather!! It was soooooo nice. I can't even believe how great it was to get away from the cold. It was sunny and bright and there was green everywhere.

We mostly hung out at Disneyland!!!


What a fun place. My kids loved it. I had such a great time. It wasn't too busy so we were able to get to a lot of rides. Kennady went on the roller coaster called California Screaming, and both of the girls went on the Tower of Terror this year!! It was such a blast. Avery loved Dumbo and Winne the Pooh.

And as a family we always love Splash Mountain!! We also ate at the Blue Bayou. It is a place connected to the Pirate of the Caribbean.

While we were eating one afternoon, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and the Mad Hatter asked the girls if they wanted to play a game of Musical chairs. What a fun time they had. It was a great moment that could not have been planned. Sydney was one of the last 3 kids playing!!


I think another favorite was hanging out in the pool. We could even go out there at night because it was so warm. This was Audrey's first time going into a swimming pool and she loved it.






It was a nice spontaneous weekend getaway in the sun!!!
